CAA: After May 21, 30 Hindu refugees will get citizenship, belongs from Pakistan are settled in Fatehabad

On Thursday, Intelligence Bureau and Revenue Department officials verified the documents of 15 Hindus who had come from Pakistan at the Fatehabad post office. These included Divya Ram, who was an MP in Pakistan in 1988, and his family members.

Fatehabad : Process for implementation Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has been started. After the implementation of the CAA, the process of granting citizenship to Hindu refugees from Pakistan has intensified.

30 Hindus who came from Pakistan and settled in Fatehabad in the year 2000 will be given Indian citizenship under CAA after May 21.

On Thursday, Intelligence Bureau and Revenue Department officials verified the documents of 15 Hindus who had come from Pakistan at the Fatehabad post office. These included Divya Ram, who was an MP in Pakistan in 1988, and his family members. Document verification of the remaining 15 people who applied for citizenship will be held on May 21.

Former MP of Pakistan Divya Ram, living in Ratangarh village of Ratia area, said that his family came to India from Pakistan on a tourist visa in the year 2000. The family did not go back to Pakistan after the visa period ended. The family first lived in Madina area of Rohtak district. In the year 2006, they came and settled in Ratangarh in Fatehabad district. According to Divya Ram, he was an MP in Pakistan during the regime of Benazir Bhutto.
