Haryana: In Haryana, due to the scorching heat, holidays have been declared in all the schools from May 28. The order of the Education Department will apply to all the schools of the state.
The effect of “Nautapa” has started becoming visible in Haryana. There was a tremendous rise in mercury on Sunday, the second day of Nautapa. During this period, the day temperature in Sirsa reached 48.4 degrees. Not only this, the temperature was recorded at 45 or above in 14 days in the state. According to experts, extreme weather conditions will continue in the coming three days. Regarding this, the Indian Meteorological Department has also issued red alert on 17 districts and orange alert on 5 districts.
Meteorologist Dr. Chandramohan said that Sunday was the second day of Nautapa. During this time the Sun assumed a more fierce form. Besides, the hot, dry and hot winds of Sindh, Balochistan and Thar Desert are wreaking havoc. Day temperature was recorded at 44.0 to 48.4 degrees Celsius at most places in Haryana, NCR and Delhi. With this, the average maximum temperature of the day remained 5.1 degrees above normal. At the same time, the night temperature remained between 24.0 to 31.0 degrees Celsius.
According to Dr. Chandramohan, after May 28, there are chances of two-three relief for the common people from the scorching heat in Haryana, NCR and Delhi, because during this time there is a possibility of change in the direction of winds to south-westerly. Also, during this period, high speed winds may also blow, due to which there will be a slight drop in the temperature. But, after this the temperature will rise once again.
