The Passport Mela is being organized to facilitate the passport applicants who have deported or travelled to India on Emergency Certificates issued by the Indian Missions/Embassies abroad and have already applied for passport up to 31st March-2024 and their applications are pending in the office of the RPO, Jalandhar due some reasons.
Citizens falling under the mentioned criteria are advised to visit the Regional Passport office, SCO No 42-51 pocket 1, Near Bus stand, Jalandhar on dated 29.10.2024 (Tuesday) between 9:00 AM to 01:00 PM in walk-in category/Without appointment along with relevant documents for disposal of their pending passport applications.
General offline and online enquiry will remain closed on 29.10.2024, hence the applicants other than visiting for Passport Mela are advised not to visit on the said date i.e. 29.10.2024.
It is also informed that no institution or middleman has been authorized by the Ministry of External Affairs, the general public is advised to apply for their passport & related services directly from the official portal of the Ministry of External Affairs i.e. www.passportindia.gov.in and not to come in contact with any agent or middleman. For any other query or inquiry related to passport application, applicants can visit the office between 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM on any working day.
