New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its manifesto for Delhi Assembly elections on Monday. Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced the party’s 15 guarantees for Delhi.
In this, he announced guarantee of employment, women’s respect, free treatment for the elderly, free water. He said that if the government is formed in Delhi, water bills worth lakhs of rupees will be waived. Arvind Kejriwal said that BJP’s Sankalp Patra is fake.
Kejriwal said that we have not been able to fulfill 3 promises made in the year 2020. We will fulfill them now. These include cleaning the Yamuna, building roads like Europe and working for 24-hour water supply.
Voting will be held on 5 February for 70 seats in Delhi, while the results will be declared on 8 February. A total of 699 candidates will contest on 70 seats in this election. The last date for withdrawal of nominations was 20 January.
According to the Election Commission website, 1,522 candidates filed nominations for the elections. 22 candidates are trying their luck against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on the New Delhi seat.
