Uproar over Sant Seechewal continued throughout the day
Earlier, on Thursday, the atmosphere in the House remained heated throughout the day over the remarks made by CLP leader Pratap Singh Bajwa on Sant Seechewal. During this, the Aam Aadmi Party passed a censure motion against Bajwa. At the same time, when CM Bhagwant Mann reached the House in the evening, he also took a dig at Bajwa and said that the CLP leader has lost his mental balance. On the other hand, Bajwa says that I stand by the words I said. I will not apologize for this. At the same time, he also said that his struggle to get Bharat Ratna for Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh will continue.
The budget has been passed in the Punjab Assembly. The opposition parties termed this budget baseless and argued that the government did not fulfill any of its promises. Whereas, the Finance Minister called it the best budget of his tenure and compared it with the budget of previous governments from 2007 to 2022. However, the opposition proved weak during the budget session. On the other hand, Sukhpal Singh Khaira did not get a chance to put his point in the House, due to which he is discussing this issue on social media.
