Mumbai: After a nine-year hiatus from the silver screen, renowned singer Lucky Ali made a comeback in 2024 with a collaboration alongside the band The Local Train.
Speaking to a leading news agency , Lucky Ali praised India for being ‘very accepting of its artists and art.’ He remarked, “India is aware of all its talents. Everybody gets a space to perform and express themselves. So, in that way, India is very accepting of its artists and art.”
He also commended the increasing number of live music concerts in India, describing them as an excellent platform for artists to showcase their talent and engage with audiences. His remarks come amid ongoing discussions about whether India has the appropriate infrastructure for live music concerts. However, in recent months, several high-profile concerts have been held in the country, with artists such as Diljit Dosanjh, AP Dhillon, Coldplay, and Bryan Adams performing across various cities.
Lucky Ali’s Recent Work
The singer recently performed at the Kathakar International Storyteller event in New Delhi, where he expressed his passion for storytelling. “There is a storyteller in all of us, and there are also story listeners. People love to hear stories,” he shared.
Lucky Ali returned to film music in 2024 with Tu Hai Kahaan, a song from the film Do Aur Do Pyaar, marking his first contribution to Bollywood since his much-loved track Safarnama from Tamasha. Reflecting on his latest project, he said, “I like to be selective about the songs I sing for films. When I heard the scratch of Tu Hai Kahaan, I loved it and felt it would suit my voice. I enjoyed working with the young composers and hope my fans enjoy it. Love, Lucky Ali.”
