Ludhiana Man duped of Rs 18 Lakh in Canada Visa Scam by 3

Ludhiana, Punjab: A case of cheating a youth of Rs 18 lakh in the name of sending him to Canada has come to light in Ludhiana. Three people of Nanowal Kalan have cheated Kawarpal Singh of Chhapar village. According to the police, the victim Kawarpal Singh met Jang Singh, his son Manpreet Singh and daughter.

Three people of Nanowal Kalan have cheated Kawarpal Singh of Chhapar village. According to the police, the victim Kawarpal Singh met Jang Singh, his son Manpreet Singh and daughter Amandeep Kaur.

The three promised to send him to Canada. The accused took Rs 18 lakh from him after getting his passport and other necessary documents. After waiting for a long time, the accused gave a visa to Kavarpal. When he left for the airport, on the way, during checking the visa and ticket, it was found that the visa was fake. The victim asked for his money back, but the accused started making excuses.

According to SI Gurdeep Singh, in-charge of the outpost Chhapar, after investigation, a case of fraud has been registered against the three accused in the Jodha police station today. The accused are residents of Nanowal Kalan village of Fatehgarh Sahib district. At present, all three are absconding and the police is conducting raids to arrest them.
