Today, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is coming to Ludhiana. Rekha will campaign for the BJP candidate Jeevan Gupta. Rekha Gupta will target former Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann today.
Earlier yesterday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini had come to Halka Paschim to campaign for the elections. Saini had also held meetings with many businessmen. Saini had also clarified the issue of water in his speech.
Who is Rekha Gupta?
50-year-old Rekha Gupta Jindal is the ninth CM of Delhi. She is an MLA from the Shalimar Bagh seat in the Delhi Assembly elections. Rekha Gupta defeated AAP’s Vandana Kumari by 29,595 votes. Rekha is associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and BJP. She has also been the General Secretary of Delhi BJP and National Vice President of the BJP Mahila Morcha.
RSS had put forward the name of Rekha Gupta as the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi, and the party had approved it. Rekha started her career in student politics and has lost the MLA election twice.
