Mumbai: A man in Chennur town, situated in the Mancherial district of Telangana, has been arrested along with his accomplices for vandalizing a theater after they were unable to see the newly released film ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ since it was not being screened.

According to reports, Bajjuri Vinay and his associates allegedly broke the glass windows of the Srinivas Theatre while trespassing onto the premises to protest against the management. Vinay reportedly threatened to kill the owner, Rajamalla Goud, if the theater did not show the Allu Arjun film. Following this, the theater owner filed a complaint with the police, resulting in the case being registered.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is considered one of the most anticipated films of the year and is expected to achieve significant box-office success upon its release.

This film is a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise,’ which was released during the peak of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The first installment of the franchise became a box-office hit even as most theaters across the country were closed.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ features music by Devi Sri Prasad, who previously won a National Award for his popular soundtrack in ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’
