Sources revealed that, the MLA allegedly collected Rs 30 lakhs from those who became the president of the truck union every year for five years. However, this year, during the election for the presidential election, she reportedly took Rs 55 lakhs from a third party and returned the amount of Rs 30 lakhs to Manjit Singh Kaka, who had to became the president this year, and threatened him.

As a result, Manjit Singh Kaka attempted suicide, for which the Sangrur MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj is responsible. Winnerjit Singh Goldy Halka Incharge Shiromani Akali Dal Sangrur has demand strict action be taken against Narinder Kaur Bharaj and the revocation of her recognition as an MLA.
