This victory does not result in a medal
One does not get a medal for winning the Diamond League. Athletes who place in each position get points. On the basis of these points, one gets a place in the last Diamond League of the year. The finals are held there. Neeraj has 15 points so far and he is jointly at number one with Julian Weber. The importance of this victory also increases because Neeraj did not participate in the Paris Diamond League last year to focus on the Olympic Games. In the Olympics, he won the silver medal with a throw of 89.45 meters.
