New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed confidence that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will secure a third consecutive term in the capital as he kicked off a 15-day campaign to showcase six free services provided by the party. During the launch of the “Revadi par Charcha” campaign, Kejriwal criticized the BJP for disparaging these services as “revadis” (freebies) and calling for their elimination.

Kejriwal emphasized the AAP government’s effective use of public funds to provide essential services, including free electricity, water, quality education, healthcare through Mohalla Clinics, free bus travel for women, and pilgrimage assistance for the elderly in Delhi.

He warned voters against the BJP’s promises to offer similar services, asserting that no BJP-ruled state provides 24-hour free electricity. “If you vote for the BJP’s ‘Lotus’ symbol, you risk losing your 24-hour power supply in Delhi. Instead, choose the ‘Broom’ symbol of the AAP,” he urged, noting that the AAP has also delivered free power in Punjab.

Kejriwal highlighted his commitment to improving the lives of Poorvanchali residents in over 1,750 unplanned colonies, stating, “I deliver on my promises and conduct thorough research.” He accused the BJP of failing to support the development of these communities and claimed that the central government has hindered progress in Delhi.

He criticized the BJP for misleading the public regarding the registration of houses in unauthorized colonies, recalling a promise made by Home Minister Amit Shah and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in December 2019, which he claimed has not been fulfilled.

Kejriwal pointed to significant infrastructure projects completed under his leadership, including extensive sewer lines, roads, and drains, as well as the establishment of numerous Mohalla Clinics and schools in unplanned areas.

He urged voters to question BJP leaders about their achievements when they seek support, reminding them that the central government shares responsibility for serving Delhi residents alongside the AAP government.

The “Revadi par Charcha” campaign will include 65,000 meetings at the colony level, where AAP workers will inform voters about the government’s free services.

“I am confident that the AAP will replicate its previous success in the upcoming elections,” Kejriwal stated, encouraging party members to take pride in the free services offered by the Delhi government, despite rival mockery.

As the elections approach, the AAP has intensified its campaign and announced a list of 11 candidates. In the last Delhi Legislative Assembly elections in 2005, the AAP won 62 seats while the BJP secured only eight.
