Himachal Assembly passes bill, now it is mandatory to take permission before arrest of public servant

Dharamsala: The Assembly in Himachal Pradesh on Friday passed the Himachal Pradesh Police (Amendment) Bill 2024, making it mandatory to get permission from the government before the arrest of any public servant.  The amendment under the  Section 65 of the Act, no police officer shall arrest a public servant for any act done while discharging.
