Patanjali Misleading Ads: Baba Ramdev arrives at Supreme Court for hearing

Yog Guru Ramdev tenders unconditional apology before Supreme Court for violating the apex court's order for misleading advertisements of Patanjali's medicinal products.

New Delhi : Yog Guru Ramdev tenders unconditional apology before Supreme Court for violating the apex court’s order for misleading advertisements of Patanjali’s medicinal products. Advocate says Ramdev and Balkrishna wanted to apologise in person and the person is present in the court.

The top court also refused to accept the apology tendered by Patanjali last month, saying,  “We are not happy with your apology”.

According to an NDTV report, the yoga guru’s lawyer told the court with folded hands that they wanted to apologise and were ready for whatever the court said.

Ramdev and managing director of Patanjali Ayurved Acharya Balkrishna appeared before the Supreme Court in connection with the show cause notices issued as to why contempt proceedings would not be initiated against them.

On March 19, the apex court directed Ramdev and Balkrishna to appear before it after taking exception to the company’s failure to respond to the notice issued in the case relating to advertisements of the firm’s products and their medicinal efficacy.
