Los Angeles: Hollywood actor Paul Mescal has voiced his disdain for individuals who “waste time” and “aren’t prepared.” In an interview with W Magazine, he identified laziness as his biggest pet peeve.

“I hate people who waste time and those who aren’t prepared. This isn’t limited to work situations,” Mescal stated. He mentioned having a knack for sensing when people are just improvising, which he finds unappealing. However, he clarified that he doesn’t feel the need to actively address societal laziness unless necessary.

Currently starring in ‘Gladiator II,’ directed by Ridley Scott, Mescal embraced the rigorous training required for his role. “I loved the training! I won’t pretend it was torture. Maybe I’m a bit masochistic,” he admitted. He enjoys the sense of physical labor that comes with the work, contrasting it with the mental stimulation of acting. “The specific kind of fatigue from physical engagement is something I haven’t felt on other films.”

Mescal, who gained fame from the mini-series ‘Normal People’ in 2020, also revealed a little white lie he told to secure his role. He claimed he could drive, despite not having a license at the time. “We had signed the paperwork, and I completely forgot about getting my driver’s license. So, I ended up filming ‘Normal People’ with a provisional license, only able to drive with a fully licensed driver beside me.”
