Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the two-day Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 today, a major Global Investment Summit organized by the Odisha government.
Taking place at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar from January 28 to 29, PM Modi will arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport in the morning, where he will receive a warm welcome from Bharatiya Janata Party leaders before proceeding to the event venue.
The Utkarsh Odisha conclave aims to establish Odisha as a key player in the Purvodaya Vision, positioning it as a prime investment and industrial hub in India.
During the event, PM Modi will also inaugurate the Make in Odisha Exhibition, showcasing the state’s accomplishments in fostering a robust industrial ecosystem. This exhibition will provide a platform for industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore the investment opportunities that Odisha has to offer.
The conclave will feature CEOs and Leaders’ Roundtables, sector-specific sessions, B2B meetings, and policy discussions, facilitating targeted interactions with global investors. More than 7,500 investors from India and abroad are expected to attend.
Key sectors of focus for the conclave include IT, renewable energy, textiles, chemicals, and food processing. Twelve countries, such as Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Germany, Poland, and Cuba, have been invited as ‘Countries of Focus’ for participation.
The Odisha government aims to attract investments totaling Rs 5 lakh crore to transform the state into a global industrial hub, with around 100 Memorandums of Understanding anticipated to be signed during the event.
State Industry Minister Sampad Chandra Swain emphasized that the government will prioritize project implementation alongside signing MoUs. The conclave is part of the state’s broader efforts to achieve the goal of Samrudh Odisha by 2036 and Viksit Bharat by 2047.
