Police arrested one suspect after incident of firing at car showroom in Tilak Nagar

The Delhi Police Special Cell apprehended an individual after he, along with two other gunmen, open fire at a car showroom in the Tilak Nagar locality.

New Delhi : The Delhi Police Special Cell apprehended an individual after he, along with two other gunmen, open fire at a car showroom in the Tilak Nagar locality.

Authorities disclosed on Wednesday that the suspect has been remanded to police custody for a duration of four days.

In a statement, the Delhi Police remarked, “An incident involving gunfire has been reported at a car dealership in the Tilak Nagar area. Multiple shots were fired, resulting in injuries to some individuals from broken glass, who are currently receiving medical treatment. Further details are awaited.”

Identified as Ketan (20), the suspect was apprehended in Panipat by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police and presented before the Patiala House Court on Wednesday. He has been placed in police custody for four days.

The Delhi Police elaborated, “The arrested suspect arrived at the Tilak Nagar showroom accompanied by two gunmen on a motorcycle. The gunmen opened fire at the showroom, following which Ketan and the gunmen fled the scene on the motorcycle. After covering some distance, the gunmen separated and fled, while Ketan proceeded towards Panipat on his motorcycle, where he was apprehended by the police. A pistol was also seized from Ketan.”

Sources from the Special Cell disclosed that during interrogation, Ketan confessed that underworld figure Himanshu Bhau, currently residing abroad, had instructed him to carry out the shooting. Himanshu Bhau has close ties with gangsters Neeraj Bawana and Naveen Bali.
