Mumbai: Preity Zinta recently shared photos with her mother, Nilprabha Zinta, on Instagram, expressing her love and admiration for her mom, whom she describes as the strongest woman she knows. In the post, Preity noted that spending time with family during the hectic Thanksgiving weekend made her appreciate the true wealth of having loved ones around.
She shared a sweet moment of giving her mother a kiss and showcased some delicious gelatos and chocolate cake. Preity thanked her mother for being the “best mom in the galaxy” and celebrated her birthday with heartfelt wishes, writing, “Love you to the moon & back.”
Reflecting on her past, Preity grew up in Shimla and faced significant challenges after losing her father in a car accident when she was thirteen, an event that also left her mother severely injured and bedridden for two years.
Preity made her acting debut in 1998 alongside Shah Rukh Khan in “Dil Se…” and gained fame with her role in the 2000 film “Kya Kehna.” Her notable films include “Chori Chori Chupke Chupke,” “Dil Chahta Hai,” “Kal Ho Naa Ho,” and “Veer-Zaara.” She marked her international debut in 2008 with “Heaven On Earth” and is set to return to the big screen in the upcoming film “Lahore 1947,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, featuring Sunny Deol.
