Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit at the Khanapara Veterinary College field in Guwahati on February 25. Preparations are in full swing for this infrastructure and investment summit, which will take place on February 25 and 26, attracting ambassadors and delegates from 51 countries, industrialists, and various corporate officials.

Assam’s Minister of Industries & Commerce, Bimal Bora, shared that PM Modi will arrive in Guwahati on the evening of February 24, where he will receive a grand welcome. The Prime Minister is expected to witness a spectacular Jhumoir dance performance at Sarusajai Stadium that evening, followed by a visit to the Advantage Assam 2.0 exhibition at the Khanapara field. The inaugural ceremony of the summit will be held on February 25, with all necessary preparations in place.

Bora noted that Assam has a rich industrial history of 200 years, beginning with the discovery of oil, which spurred industrial development. The summit aims to attract global investors and promote growth in the state’s industries, particularly for small and medium enterprises and startups. He expressed optimism that Advantage Assam 2.0 would significantly bolster Assam’s industrial landscape. “Whenever PM Modi visits the state, we ensure he receives a warm welcome,” Bora added.
