Jaipur: Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress National General Secretary, are in Jaipur today to attend a wedding. Party officials confirmed that this visit is personal.

Rahul Gandhi is expected to arrive in Jaipur this afternoon, while Priyanka Gandhi has been in Ranthambore since Tuesday with her husband Robert Vadra, their son Raihan, daughter Miraya, and mother-in-law Maureen Vadra. They will all head to Jaipur for the wedding, which is of a friend of Raihan Gandhi and will take place at a five-star hotel in the city.

Priyanka Gandhi is currently contesting the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, which became vacant after Rahul Gandhi resigned to retain his seat in Raebareli. Both siblings campaigned actively in the recent by-election.

During her stay in Ranthambore, Priyanka Gandhi enjoyed a tiger safari with her family, where they spotted the tigress ‘Arrowhead’ and her three cubs, observing them for about 25 minutes. Raihan captured the moment with his camera.

Priyanka has a long history of visiting Ranthambore, celebrating her birthday there and spending time with her family during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. The national park is home to 75 tigers, including cubs, and the tourist season began on October 1.

Over the past 12 years, Priyanka has frequently visited the park with her children, taking thousands of photographs of the tigers. She has also highlighted the tigers of Ranthambore in a book. Raihan Vadra has organized a photography exhibition featuring his Ranthambore images, and Priyanka co-authored a book titled Ranthambore: The Tiger’s Realm.
