ASI’s son shot in Adampur after minor dispute

The injured person has been identified as Harmanpreet Singh.

A man shot a youth in Daroli Kalan village near Adampur in Jalandhar, Punjab after a minor dispute. The youth was seriously injured in the incident, who was admitted to the hospital for treatment. The injured person has been identified as Harmanpreet Singh.

After the incident that took place late last evening, the police of Adampur police station reached the spot for investigation. The police have registered an FIR in the case. At present, it is the turn to arrest the accused. After the arrest, they will be produced in the court and taken on remand.

When the victim started running to save his life, he was shot

The victim, Harmanpreet Singh, said,  “he was going to pay obeisance at the Gurudwara at 6 pm last evening. During this, Davinder Singh, riding on a bike, surrounded him with his two companions and started abusing him. The attacker said that he would shoot his father and would not leave him alive. After this, they started beating him.”

When he tried to run away to save his life, they fired a bullet that hit his left leg. When people raised an alarm, the attacker fled from the spot along with his two accomplices.

Injured Harmanpreet Singh was rushed to Adampur Civil Hospital by his friends and locals.

Regarding this incident, the victim’s father, Sukhwinder Singh, who is on duty at Adampur Airport, is serving as an ASI in the Punjab Police. ASI Satnam Singh of Adampur police station present at the spot has confirmed that an FIR has been registered.
