Punjab: The president of Punjab congress committee and Member parliament from Ludhiana Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Thursday took part in a massive protest rally at Patti, demanded the immediate resumption of the halted construction of the Guru Tegh Bahadur State Law University.
The protest also witnessed participation of Leader of the Opposition S. Partap Singh Bajwa Ji, and former Chief Minister S. Charanjit Singh Channi.
Speaking with the gathering Amarinder Singh Raja Warring criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government for its lack of accountability and disregard for the aspirations of Punjab’s youth.
He remarked, “Punjab has been ruined by this so-called ‘BADLAAV’ government. The Chief Minister has done nothing but joke around for three years now. They talked about building multiple medical colleges, but now even universities under construction are being halted. If our youth will not study, where will they go, and what will they do?”
The protest highlighted the increasing frustrations of farmers, laborers, traders, and the youth, who have been pushed back by nearly 25 years under the AAP regime.
He pointed out, “These three years have seen ₹95,000 crore worth of debt being taken up by the AAP government. Is this the future we want for Punjab? While Congress has always fought for the rights of our people, including giving MSP to our farmers, this government spends ₹100 crore on advertisement budgets while failing to deliver on basic promises.”
The Punjab Congress leadership vowed to continue its fight for the state’s progress and prosperity.
