Chandigarh: Punjab government on Monday announced transfers of five senior IAS officers with immediate effect.
According to the notification issued by the Punjab Government Alok Shekhar, IAS (1994), has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary, Home Affairs, replacing Gurkirat Kirpal Singh. Jaspreet Talwar, IAS (1995), will now handle Additional Chief Secretary, Jails, and Justice.
Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS (2003), assumes additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Taxation. Basant Garg, IAS (2005), moves to Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.
Dilraj Singh, IAS (2005), gains additional charge of Commissioner, Gurudwara Elections. Ajit Pal Singh, PCS (2023), takes over as Deputy Secretary, Sports & Youth Services.
