Punjab government’s income from land and property registries increased by 16% in January: Minister Jimpa

Minister Brahma Shankar Jimpa said that providing transparent, hassle-free and corruption-free services to the people is the main goal of the Mann government and this is leading to continuous increase in the income of the state.

Giving information, Minister Jimpa said that the Punjab Government has received an income of Rs 376.16 crore under Stamps and Registration in January 2024, which is 16.83% more than the month of January last year. This income in January 2023 was Rs 321.96 crore.

Along with this, he also said that the income of the state is continuously increasing. He said that the Punjab Government has been making meaningful efforts since day one to make the functioning of the Revenue Department corruption free. Minister Jimpa has appealed to the people not to give bribe to any officer or employee to get any work related to this department done and if anyone asks for bribe then it should be reported immediately. He said that corrupt officers and employees will not be spared at any cost. The Mann government is making every possible effort to make Punjab corruption free and is also appealing to the people to support them so that people’s work gets done without any hassle and without paying bribes.
