Phagwara: The trend of stunting and racing with tractors has been going on in Punjab since the beginning. Due to these acts, many major accidents have happened and many people have lost their lives, but still such games are not stopping. One such case has come to light from Phagwara, adjacent to Jalandhar in Punjab.
The tractor of a person racing with other tractors, suddenly went out of control. After which the said tractor trampled the people standing on the side to watch the race. About 5 people have been seriously injured in the incident. Thankfully, there has been no loss of life in this.
Some heart-wrenching videos of the entire incident have also surfaced. At present, Phagwara Police has arrested 4 people in the case. DSP Phagwara has also seized three tractors after reaching the spot. However, other arrests are yet to be made in the incident.
DSP Phagwara Jaspreet Singh said that we had received information that a tractor race was going on and an accident happened during that time. After which he immediately reached the spot. On seeing the police, the entire crowd fled from the spot. Four people have been detained from the spot. Three injured have been admitted to private hospitals in Phagwara and Jalandhar.
DSP said- illegal tractor race was going on
DSP Jaspreet Singh said- he had received information that illegal tractor race was going on in Domeli village of Phagwara and an accident happened at the said place. After which he immediately reached the spot. Four people have been arrested and three tractors have been seized. At the same time, the police is going to register an FIR in the case.
DSP Jaspreet Singh said- no permission of any kind was taken for the race. This race was completely illegal. The person driving the tractor has also been injured in the incident. The DSP said- these things have been declared illegal by the government. Therefore doing this was completely illegal. Soon the committee members who organized the race will also be arrested in the case.
