11 districts of Haryana were covered with dense fog on Sunday morning. These include Hisar, Jind, Panipat, Sonipat, Karnal, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Palwal and Charkhi Dadri. Visibility here was around 10 to 50 meters.
Tilak Bridge Express train arrived half an hour late due to fog in Rewari. Puja Express and Sirsa Express running from Jammu Tawi to Ajmer are delayed by about 5 hours.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for 2 days. Cold wave is also blowing in the state at a speed of 8 to 10 kilometers per hour. After the Western Disturbance becomes active, a change in weather will be seen in most of the districts of the state, especially in northern Haryana, on January 5 and 6.
Moderate rain may occur in Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal districts, while light rain is expected in some other districts. Sirsa and Fatehabad are cloudy.
Narnaul-Panipat are the coldest
Due to Western Disturbance, night temperature has increased. On Saturday night, the minimum temperature increased by 1.7 degrees. The coldest nights were of Narnaul in Mahendragarh district. The temperature here was recorded at 6.8 degrees. At the same time, nights in Panipat were also cold in the state. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 7.5 degrees. Rohtak and Sirsa were the two districts where the night temperature crossed 10 degrees.
