Samantha’s decision to invest in the Chennai Super Champs stemmed from her deep connection to the city and her love for the sport. In an interview, she shared, “Chennai Super Champs was a no-brainer. The first team that I wanted was immediately Chennai. I had to have Chennai.”
She views Chennai Super Champs as a way to put Chennai on the map for pickleball and celebrate the sport’s inclusivity. Her vision is to make pickleball accessible to people of all ages and genders.
Samantha’s Journey from Actor to Entrepreneur
Owning a team is a new experience for Samantha, who has spent the last 15-16 years focused on her acting career. She acknowledges the shift, stating, “Yeah, I am gutsy like that. As an actor, everything has been about me. Now, it’s time to be part of something bigger.”
She is passionate about her business ventures, particularly those that promote physical fitness. Pickleball aligns perfectly with her interests, and she believes her investment can have a positive impact on society.

Samantha recently returned to the screen in the action-packed Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny. She starred alongside Varun Dhawan, playing the role of Honey.
