Riyadh: On December 4, Saudi Arabia unveiled five environmental initiatives aimed at enhancing biodiversity throughout the country. According to local media, these initiatives include a $60 million investment focused on boosting afforestation efforts.
The initiatives aim to plant millions of trees and mangroves, distribute 300 million seeds, restore degraded lands, reduce air pollution, and enhance the nation’s biodiversity. This announcement was made during the opening of the fourth Saudi Green Initiative Forum, an important platform dedicated to promoting Saudi Arabia’s vision of a greener future through emission reduction, desertification combat, and the protection of natural ecosystems.
