Ludhiana: A model town based resident suffered burn injuries after his scooter caught fire near Jagraon bridge on Saturday.
The injured has been identified as Gobindpreet Singh. He has been admitted to CMC Hospital.
It has been learnt that the injured got the fuel tank refilled from Dugri area and was heading towards Salem Tabri to meet his relatives. When he took the elevated road near Jagraon Bridge, his scooter caught fire and before he could escape he was engulfed in flames.
However, the commuters rushed to help him and rescued him and got him admitted to CMC Hospital.
According to the police, youngster has suffered 30 percent burn injuries and he is getting treatment as of now.
