Shimla: There is a huge crowd of devotees at the famous Jakhu temple of Shimla on Hanuman Jayanti today. Devotees started arriving at the temple for darshan from 5 am itself. Due to this, there are long queues of devotees at Jakhu today.
Local people and tourists from various states who have come to Shimla are visiting the Jakhu temple. Special prayers are being conducted on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
For the convenience of the devotees, Himachal Road Transport Corporation is running 13 taxis from different areas of the city, so that no devotee faces any problem in reaching Jakhu.
A quarter quintal roti will be offered in Jakhu
Special arrangements have been made for Hanuman Jayanti at the Jakhu temple. Here,The Sundarkand will be recited, and havan yagya will be held. After this, one and a quarter quintal roti (prasad) will be offered to Bajrangbali.
The head priest of the temple, Bodh Prakash Sharma, said, “Local kirtan troupes will recite Sunderkand. The local MLA, senior officials of the district administration, the mayor of the municipal corporation, councillors and hundreds of people will participate in the havan yagya.”
The temple was decorated with 100 kg of flowers
Jakhu temple has been decorated with 100 kg of flowers. Flowers have been brought from Delhi for Hanuman Jayanti. From the sanctum sanctorum to the outer part of the temple, flowers will be decorated. The doors of the temple were opened at 4 am.
Strong security arrangements
Thousands of devotees visit the temple on Hanuman Jayanti. Therefore, special security arrangements have been made. However, till seven in the morning, no police personnel was present in the temple.
Due to this, devotees had trouble visiting the temple in the morning, because some people were directly entering the temple without standing in the queue. Due to this, there was a huge crowd inside the temple at the time of Aarti at seven in the morning. But after seven o’clock, a large number of police force reached Jakhu temple and took charge of security.
