Snowfall alert again in Himachal: New Western Disturbance to active from tomorrow

Shimla: The weather in Himachal Pradesh is going to change once again. Snowfall is occurring on the high peaks of the state. The Meteorological Center Shimla has predicted the activation of a new Western Disturbance from the night of 24 February. Snowfall continues in the remote district of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul Spiti. Lahaul is covered.

Shimla: The weather in Himachal Pradesh is going to change once again. Snowfall is occurring on the high peaks of the state. The Meteorological Center Shimla has predicted the activation of a new Western Disturbance from the night of 24 February.

Snowfall continues in the remote district of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul Spiti. Lahaul is covered with 2 to 3 feet of snow. Snow fell on the high peaks including Rohtang Pass on Saturday as well. After which the district administration has warned tourists and locals not to go to the snow-covered areas.

According to IMD, a new Western Disturbance will remain active in the state from 25 to 28 February. During this period, there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in the state. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at some places on 25 February. Whereas, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in most parts of the state from 26 to 28 February. Yellow alert has been issued for many places.

The temperature will drop by up to 7 degrees

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in the state is likely to fall further in the coming days. By February 26, the temperature may fall by 5-7 degrees Celsius. Currently, the temperature is quite low in various parts of the state. The minimum temperature in Tabo was recorded at -9.6 degrees, in Keylong at -8.5 degrees and in Kalpa at -1.6 degrees Celsius.
