The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Akash alias Bachchi, a resident of Mehta Nagar. Apart from this, the youth injured by the bullet, Raman, is a resident of Indira Colony. At present, the police have sent the body of the deceased youth Akash for postmortem, while the injured youth Raman has been admitted to a private hospital.

Initial investigation by the police has revealed that there is an old rivalry between the deceased and the injured youth. On Wednesday night, both the parties had gathered near the Sabzi Mandi bridge, where stabbing and firing took place. The deceased Akash was originally a resident of Bihar. He lived with his mother Sheela Devi in ​​a rented house in Mehta Nagar. His mother works as a cleaner. Akash’s father has passed away.

Mother Sheela said that on Wednesday night her son Akash left home on a bike with his friend. Akash did not return home till late night, on Thursday morning at 4:00 am, information was received that Akash’s body was lying near the Sabzi Mandi bridge.
