New Delhi: Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva on Thursday said that no one will be spared for looting Delhi and said that strict action would be taken against those involved in corruption under the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

Sachdeva specifically referred to alleged scams related to the liquor policy, Mohalla Clinics, Jal Board, and ration distribution, among others.

Speaking with the reporters Sachdev said that all the misdeeds of the previous Delhi government are going to end, and action will be taken accordingly whether it is Sheesh Mahal, liquor scam, Jal Board scam, panic button scam, ration card scam or Mohalla Clinic scam. Every individual who has done the work of looting Delhi will be punished. No one will be spared.

The BJP won the Delhi Assembly elections on February 8 in a historic mandate, securing 48 out of 70 seats. This marks the party’s return to power in Delhi after 27 years, having last governed the state between 1993 and 1998.

Several AAP leaders, including former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, lost in their strongholds, while outgoing Chief Minister Atishi managed to retain her seat. The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years (1998-2013), once again failed to win a single seat, continuing its downward trend.

Prior to this, the BJP also registered strong victories in Haryana and Maharashtra, upsetting the Opposition’s chances of sustaining the momentum of the Lok Sabha election results.

The party is yet to announce its chief ministerial candidate to lead the Delhi assembly, as the party emerged victorious in the national capital.
