Chandigarh: Continuing its effort to support patients battling Thalassaemia, the Thalassaemic Charitable Trust PGI-GMCH, in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER Chandigarh, is set to organize its 312th blood donation camp on April 19, 2025 (Saturday), at Patel Market (Parking Area), Sector 15, Chandigarh.
The initiative, aimed at ensuring a steady supply of blood for Thalassaemia patients and other critical cases, calls on social organizations, volunteers, and the wider community to come forward for this life-saving cause.
Dr(Prof) RR Sharma-HOD, Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine PGIMER and Shri Rajinder Kalra-Member Secretary, Thalassaemic Charitable Trust explains that Thalassaemia is a chronic blood disorder in which a patient needs blood transfusions regularly throughout life.
They appeal to all social organizations, voluntary blood donors and other religious/social communities to kindly donate blood for this noble cause for thalassaemics patients whose life line is blood and other needy/serious patients requiring blood support.
