Bandipora: Around four Army personnel have been died in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district while two others have been reportedly injured after an Army vehicle skidded off from a road near S.K payen this afternoon.
Offcial sources confirmed the incident said that an army vehicle carrying around six army personnel skidded off from a road near Saderkot Payen in Bandipora and fell into a deep gorge resulting in the death of four Army personnels.
He also said that injured Jawans were shifted to DH Bandipora, where after giving medical treatment they were shifted for Army hospital Mansbal among which one died on way to the Army hospital.
Meanwhile Army’s Chinar corps in a post on X, wrote “On 04 Jan 25, while performing duty in Bandipora District, a vehicle of Indian Army skid and fell into the gorge due to inclement weather and poor visibility conditions. Injured soldiers were promptly evacuated for medical care with assistance from Kashmiri locals, for which we express gratitude towards the citizens in providing immediate succour. Tragically three bravehearts lost their lives in the unfortunate accident. Indian Army extends heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. #IndianArmy #Kashmir @adgpi @NorthernComd_IA.”
The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, LG Manoj Sinha and other leaders have expressed their condolences to the families of soldiers who lost their lives.
