Jalandhar: In a tragic road accident on Dosanjh Road in Village Sarhal Mundi, Jalandhar district, a man lost his life, while his wife and three daughters sustained injuries. The incident occurred when they were riding an Activa scooter, and they were struck by a speeding car nearby on Dosanjh Kala Road.
Witnesses at the scene rushed the injured to a private hospital in Phagwara, where Balvinder Kumar was pronounced dead. The other injured family members were later referred to the Civil Hospital in Phagwara for further treatment.
Immediately upon receiving news of the accident, ASI Subhash Kumar, in charge of the Dosanjh Kala police station, arrived with a police team to assess the situation. He stated that action would be taken based on the statements provided by the victim’s family. Currently, the police have detained the car driver, Surinder Pal, for investigation.
This tragic accident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety and the risks faced by families using two-wheelers in the area.
