Andhra Pradesh: Two doctors from Karnataka were among ten people who tragically lost their lives in three separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh over the weekend, starting Saturday evening.

In one of the accidents on Sunday near Vidapanakal village in Anantapur district, a car carrying three people crashed into a roadside tree, resulting in the deaths of two doctors and the driver. The vehicle was severely damaged, and the victims’ bodies were found scattered around the scene. Authorities believe that dense fog may have contributed to the incident, as the driver reportedly lost control of the car. The deceased doctors, identified as Yogesh (52) and Govindaraju (54), worked at a government hospital in Bellary, Karnataka. The driver, Venkata Naidu (53), was also killed, while another doctor, Amar Goud (55), was severely injured and transported to a hospital in Bellary, where he remains in critical condition. The group had just returned from a vacation in Hong Kong and landed in Bengaluru at 1:30 a.m.

In a second incident in Vizianagaram district, four people died when their car, which experienced a tyre burst, collided with a truck after hitting a divider. This accident occurred on Saturday night on a national highway near Polipally in Bhogapauram Mandal. Among the deceased were a jeweller named G. Kaushik (27), who was on his way to Visakhapatnam Airport to pick up his uncle arriving from the United States, along with his friend V. Abhinav (27) and Abhinav’s wife Manimala (24). All four, including the driver M. Jayesh (20), perished in the crash.

The third accident took place on Kankipadu flyover in Krishna district, where three individuals were killed after their car collided with a minivan following a tyre burst. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to hit the divider before crashing into the oncoming minivan. The victims—Yesu Prabhu (29), Chinta Ravi (38), and Chili Bhanu (27)—were returning to Machilipatnam after personal obligations in Vijayawada. In a heartbreaking twist, Bhanu’s mother, Sudha Rani (55), died from shock upon hearing the news of her son’s death; she collapsed at home and was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after.
