On November 2, the U.S. Defense Department announced a new security aid package for Ukraine worth an approximately $425 million. According to a statement from the Pentagon, this assistance, delivered through the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), aims to fulfill Ukraine’s immediate security and defense demands.

The aid will include a variety of equipment such as munitions for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS), Stinger missiles, Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (c-UAS) gear, air-to-ground munitions, ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), as well as 155mm and 105mm artillery rounds. Additionally, the package comprises Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided (TOW) missiles, Javelin and AT-4 anti-armour systems, Stryker Armored Personnel Carriers, small arms, ammunition, medical supplies, and demolitions equipment.

This marks the 69th shipment from U.S. Defense Department inventories to Ukraine since August 2021. The Pentagon emphasized its commitment to collaborating with around 50 allies and partners through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and its associated Capability Coalitions to address Ukraine’s urgent battlefield needs and counter Russian aggression.
