A 35-year-old man died after being hit by a freight train while crossing the railway track at the Gandhi Nagar closed gate in Yamuna Nagar. He had returned to his home from Chhattisgarh after a month. The deceased has been identified as Vidya Bhushan of Gandhi Nagar. He was originally from Uttar Pradesh. GRP reached the spot and took the body in custody and started the process of post-mortem.
In the statement given to the police, Father Harilal told that he has been living in Gandhi Nagar for the last several years. Son Vidya Bhushan had gone to Chhattisgarh for work for the last one month, but came to Yamuna Nagar late on Thursday evening.
Vidya had not even reached home yet, before that he died after being hit by a freight train. On the other hand, his family members were searching for him when he did not reach home. Even Vidya Bhushan’s mobile was switched off.
On Friday morning, someone informed the family members that Vidya Bhushan died after being hit by a train. GRP SI Bodhraj said that the process of post-mortem has been started after taking the body in custody.
