Mumbai: Punjabi singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh shared a picture on Instagram with actress Rhea Chakraborty, expressing how wonderful it was to meet a “strong woman” like her. In the photo, he is dressed in an all-blue outfit, posing with Rhea, who has her arm around his shoulder.
Honey Singh referred to her as a “brave soul,” writing, “It feels so amazing to meet a strong woman for real @rhea_chakraborty #bravesoul.”
Rhea’s past includes a relationship with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who tragically died by suicide in 2020. Following his death, Rhea faced allegations from Sushant’s father, who accused her of abetment. She and her brother Showik were later arrested in a drugs case linked to the investigation.
After a period of absence from the spotlight, Rhea returned to television by participating as a gang leader in the show “MTV Roadies.” She began her television career in 2009, finishing as the first runner-up in MTV India’s TVS Scooty Teen Diva, and later worked as a VJ at MTV Delhi. Rhea has hosted various shows, including the Pepsi MTV Wassup and MTV Gone in 60 Seconds.
Her acting debut came in 2012 with the Telugu film Tuneega Tuneega, followed by her Hindi film debut in Mere Dad Ki Maruti. She has appeared in several films, including Sonali Cable, Bank Chor, Half Girlfriend, Jalebi, and Chehre, alongside Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. Rhea will also be featured in the upcoming season of “Roadies,” a popular youth-based reality show.
