A young man was beaten to death in Ludhiana, Punjab. Before dying, the young man called his home and said that his life was in danger and they should save him. When the family members tried to find him, they could not find anything about him.
His body was found in the mortuary of the civil hospital the next morning. According to the police, people on the road mistook him for a snatcher and beat him up. In this case, the police have detained the friend of the deceased on the basis of suspicion. The name of the deceased is Lovepreet Singh, who got married about 15 days ago. His was a love marriage.

Giving information, deceased Lovepreet’s aunt Baljeet Kaur said that her nephew Lovepreet Singh (19) has been living with her since childhood. He got married just 15 days ago. There is a boy named Dev in the area, many times Lovepreet was stopped from meeting him. On June 15, Dev took Lovepreet with him on his bike.
Lovepreet had gone on night duty in the factory
While leaving the house, he said that he was going for night duty in the factory. Lovepreet works as an overlocker in Basti Jodhewal area. On the night of June 15, Lovepreet called my other nephew Manpreet Singh. He shouted and said, save me. Nothing was known about Lovepreet that night.
The next day, Lovepreet’s body was found in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital. There were many injury marks on his body. According to Baljeet Kaur, when she inquired about the case from the police of Thana Division Number 6, they told her that Lovepreet was beaten up by people. People beat him thinking he was a snatcher. His friend Dev has been detained by the police for questioning.

On the other hand, in this case, SHO Kulwant Kaur of Police Station Division Number 6 said that Lovepreet’s friend Dev’s past record is not good. Therefore, he has been detained for questioning. Dev and Lovepreet were coming on a bike. Before their arrival, mobile snatching had taken place at the place of the incident.
People caught him thinking he was a mobile snatcher and beat him up. Lovepreet died during the fight. The police is still investigating the case. Lovepreet’s body has been kept in the mortuary. After postmortem, the body will be handed over to the family.
