Light Rain Expected in Parts of Punjab as Relief Work Intensifies in Flood-Affected Areas

Amritsar: There is a possibility of light rain in some districts of Punjab today and many areas will remain cloudy. These days the weather remains cold in the morning and evening, while the heat increases due to sunshine in the afternoon. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in many parts of Punjab on 17 and 18 September.

Here, after the water level in the flood affected areas has decreased, the state government has now intensified the relief and cleaning work. Government teams will go from village to village and start the cleaning campaign, so that the villagers can get relief from the problems they are facing after the water recedes.

After the decrease in rain in the mountains, life in Punjab has started becoming normal. Along with this, wherever there has been damage on the border, the damage is being assessed there. For the last one week, some improvement has been seen in the flood situation in Punjab, along with this the water level of all the rivers is continuously decreasing.

At the same time, the highest temperature of 34.5 Celsius was recorded in Patiala and Bathinda. At the same time, the lowest temperature was also recorded in Bathinda. Which was 24 Celsius.

Amritsar- The maximum temperature in Amritsar will be 25.5 Celsius, there is no rain alert. At the same time, 651.9 MM of rain has been recorded in Amritsar so far.

Jalandhar- There is no rain alert in Jalandhar, the temperature will remain up to 32 degrees Celsius. 902.7 MM of rain has been recorded in the district so far.

Ludhiana- There is no rain alert in Ludhiana, the temperature has been recorded at 25.6 Celsius. At the same time, 798.2 MM of rain has occurred in Ludhiana so far.
