LPG Price Hike: 19-Kg Gas Commercial Cylinder Gets Costlier by Rs 15-16

Oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinders by up to ₹16, effective Wednesday, October 1, 2025. However, the price of 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged. According to Indian Oil’s official website, the price of this cylinder has been increased by ₹15 in Delhi, and is now available for ₹1595 instead of ₹1580. In Kolkata, the same cylinder is now available for ₹1700, up ₹16.

How much is the cylinder available in Mumbai and Chennai?
The price of a 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinder has also increased by ₹16 in Mumbai, reaching ₹1547. In Chennai, the same cylinder has become more expensive by ₹16, and is available for ₹1754, effective October 1.

No change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.
There has been no change in the price of 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinders. Current prices show that this cylinder is available for ₹853.00 in Delhi, ₹879.00 in Kolkata, ₹852.50 in Mumbai, and ₹868.50 in Chennai.

ATF prices also increased from October 1st.
Oil marketing companies have announced an increase in the price of aviation turbine fuel, or ATF, for the month of October, bringing its price by an average of ₹3,052.5 per kiloliter. The price of ATF for domestic airlines is ₹93,766.02 per kiloliter in Delhi. Similarly, it is ₹87,714.39 per kiloliter in Mumbai. It is ₹96,816.58 per kiloliter in Kolkata and ₹97,302.14 per kiloliter in Chennai. One kiloliter of ATF is equivalent to 1,000 liters.

The continued rise in ATF prices is a growing concern for the Indian aviation sector, as fuel typically accounts for approximately 30% to 40% of an airline’s total operating expenses. It’s worth noting that these increases come at a time when airlines were preparing for increased travel demand during the upcoming holidays.
