    G.N. Shukla Elected As Lucknow Bar President

    Lucknow: The results for the posts of President, General Secretary and Junior Vice President in the Lucknow Bar Association elections have been declared. G.N. Shukla affectionately known as ‘Chachchu,’ ​​has been elected President. Jitendra Singh Yadav alias ‘Jeetu’ secured victory for the post of General Secretary, while Manish Srivastava has been elected Junior Vice President. The counting of votes for the remaining posts is currently underway.

    Shukla Secures 1,255 Votes, Defeats Suresh Pandey in Presidential Race

    In the contest for the presidency, G.N. Shukla emerged victorious by securing 1,255 votes. He claimed the win by outpacing his nearest rival, Suresh Pandey. Shukla maintained a lead right from the initial trends, a lead that persisted until the very end and ultimately translated into a victory.

    For the post of General Secretary, Jitendra Singh Yadav ‘Jeetu’ emerged triumphant with 1,094 votes. He established a lead right from the early stages of the vote counting, a lead that continued to widen steadily.

    Women’s Reservation Becomes a Key Topic of Discussion

    A significant highlight of this election was the implementation of women’s reservation for the very first time. A total of seven posts—including that of Treasurer—were reserved for women, leading to a new level of competition and participation in the electoral process. In this Lucknow Bar Association election, a total of 116 candidates were in the fray for 22 different posts. The results for the remaining posts are yet to be declared.
