Lucknow to Witness 8°C Temperature Rise in 5 Days, Rain Possible Again From May 13

Lucknow: The weather in Lucknow has been clear since morning. Clouds are expected to gather intermittently throughout the day. The maximum daytime temperature is likely to hover around 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 23 degrees. Meanwhile, winds gusting at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, accompanied by thunder and lightning, may occur.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature stood at 29.5 degrees Celsius—10.2 degrees lower than normal. The minimum temperature was 18 degrees Celsius—6.3 degrees lower than normal. Maximum humidity levels reached 91 percent, while the minimum stood at 46 percent.

1581 Percent Excess Rainfall in Lucknow

Lucknow witnessed a staggering 1581 percent excess rainfall on Thursday. A total of 6.7 millimeters of rain fell during the day, significantly exceeding the normal average rainfall of 0.4 millimeters. Since March 1st, Lucknow has recorded a cumulative rainfall of 65.2 millimeters—a figure 372 percent higher than the normal average of 13.8 millimeters.

Rain Expected to Return from May 13th

The weather in Lucknow is expected to remain stable and normal for the next five days. Meteorologist Mohammad Danish explained that with the diminishing influence of the western disturbance, the weather will now remain clear. Consequently, temperatures are likely to rise by up to 8 degrees Celsius over the coming days.

During this period, residents may face discomfort due to the intense heat. However, rain is expected to return starting May 13th, as a new Western Disturbance becomes active. In light of this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert warning of rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
