Ludhiana: 50 lakh ransom demanded from shopkeeper

Three days ago, bike-borne miscreants shot at Jatinder Singh, a resident of Chajja Wal village, who runs a hardware shop in Rumi village in Jagraon town of Ludhiana district. Now, ransom has been demanded from the victim through a call from abroad. Two days after the incident, shopkeeper Jatinder received a call from America.

The caller has demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.  On hearing the call, Jatinder complained to the police. According to the information, three days ago, Jatinder Singh was returning home after closing his shop. During this time, bike-borne miscreants shot at him.

The bullet had passed through the glass of the car. In this case, the police had registered a case against the bike-borne miscreants as well as a relative of Jatinder. The investigation was going on when a call from America two days later made the matter more serious.

The person who threatened said – Next time, you will not be able to save your life

The caller clearly said that next time you will not be able to save your life. After this, the police are now also looking at this case from the gangster angle.
