Ludhiana AAP MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina’s car collided with a divider, seriously injured

Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Ludhiana South Assembly seat Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina was seriously injured in a road accident. While returning from Delhi, her Innova car collided with a divider near the Khanauri border.

The gunman accompanying her also sustained injuries in the accident. Both were first admitted to Kaithal Hospital in Haryana, from where the MLA was referred to Ludhiana after first aid. Currently, she is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city and her condition is said to be critical.

MLA had returned from America

According to the information, MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina had recently gone to America, where she participated in a conference. She landed at Delhi airport on Tuesday night. Her husband, son, gunman and driver had reached the airport to receive her. Everyone was returning to Ludhiana in an Innova car with the MLA.

Obstruction came in front at Khanauri border

It is said that as soon as the car reached near Khanauri border, suddenly something came in front. The driver tried to control the vehicle, but the vehicle went out of control and hit the divider. The front part of the vehicle was badly damaged in the severe collision and the MLA suffered serious injuries on his face. The gunman sitting in the front seat of the vehicle also suffered head and shoulder injuries.

Passers-by helped

After the accident, the vehicles moving nearby stopped. Passers-by present at the spot immediately informed the police and ambulance. The injured MLA and the gunman were taken to a private hospital in Kaithal, Haryana by ambulance. Here, after first aid, the doctors referred them to Ludhiana after seeing their condition. Police said that CCTV footage and statements of local people are being taken to find out the cause of the accident. The vehicle has been seized and investigation has been started.
