Ludhiana Azad Nagar Theft: Activa-Borne Youth Steals Laptop, Tablet and ₹2,000 Cash from Kaur Foods Office

Ludhiana: In a daring incident, an unidentified youth entered the office of a business establishment named Kaur Foods in Azad Nagar on Wednesday around 6:15 PM and stole a laptop, a tablet, and nearly ₹2,000 in cash.

According to the owner, Amarjeet Kaur, at the time of the incident, Kuljinder Singh was present inside the business premises and was busy counting stock in the shop. Meanwhile, the accused entered quietly from behind, opened a drawer, and quickly took away the valuables before escaping.

Kuljinder Singh said the stolen laptop was an Asus device containing business accounts as well as personal data. The Lenovo tablet had billing software and other important business information stored in it. The cash kept in the cash drawer, around ₹2,000, was also taken.

He added that they tried to check the CCTV footage and attempted to note the scooter number, but the accused managed to flee before being identified. According to Harpreet, the suspect had never been seen at the shop before, raising suspicion that the act may have been part of a planned scheme.

Accused had stolen activa two hours before targetting the Kaur foods, from outside Aman steels on Gill road.

Police sources also stated that the thief arrived and escaped on a stolen Activa scooter. An investigation is currently underway.
