Ludhiana CIA staff recover 960 bundles of Chinese kite string; three accused arrested

The illegal trade of banned Chinese kite string continues unabated in Ludhiana. In the latest incident, a team from the CIA staff conducted a large-scale operation in the Moti Nagar area and recovered a huge quantity of the deadly, banned Chinese kite string. Police arrested three suspects at the scene. These culprits are illegally selling this dangerous string, putting the lives of ordinary people at risk.

According to reports, on December 24, a police team from the CIA staff was patrolling the Transport Nagar area on the Delhi-Jalandhar Highway. During this patrol, they received a tip-off that some individuals were attempting to illegally sell banned Chinese kite string near Simran Transport.

The police immediately cordoned off the area and apprehended the three suspects. The arrested individuals have been identified as Akshay Behal, a resident of Rajan Estate, Haibowal; Lavish Gupta, a resident of Atal Nagar; and Gaurav Kumar, a resident of Ludhiana.

Police recovered 960 bundles of the banned Chinese kite string from their possession.

Police have registered a case against the accused under Sections 223, 125, and 3(5) of the BNS (presumably referring to relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code or a related law) and have initiated further proceedings.
