Sunil Kant Munjal among two booked under charges of fraud in Ludhiana, criminal breach of trust

Ludhiana, November 15: Director of Hero Realty Private Limited, Sunil Kant Munjal along two have been booked under charges of fraud and criminal breach of trust as an FIR has been registered at Sarabha Nagar police station.

The FIR has been registered under sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC against Sunil Kant Munjal and Sales Head of Hero Realty Pvt Ltd, Nikhil Jain.

The FIR was registered on Friday on the basis of the initial inquiry following a complaint lodged by Falitash Jain of New Madhopuri on May 23.

The complaint pertains to the irregularities in Hero Homes project in Ludhiana. The complainant has accused Munjal and sales head Nikhil Jain of cheating of Rs 2.41 crore.

According to the complainant, he had purchased four flats in the Hero Homes project, and he had paid Rs 2,41,13,602 (approx.) to Hero Realty Pvt Ltd at its office in New Delhi.

The complainant mentioned in his complaint despite receiving the payment, the firm didn’t complete the construction and defrauded him.

After the complainant lodged a complaint in May this year, a probe was marked and following the probe an FIR has been registered against Sunil Kant Munjal and Nikhil Jain at Sarabha Nagar police station. The police have initiated further investigation into the matter.
